The workplace is changing. Have you ever wondered what successful HR looks like in the future? Do you find yourself pondering the best ways to develop and keep up with the business trends and workplace needs? What have the recent global pandemics done to increase the skills gap?

We have moved from a time when speed and efficient have been replaced by adaptability, agility and creativity. This evolution has not only changed how we work but what skills are needed to be successful. The technical and human needs to deliver for business is a priority. As an HR professional, you can play a significant role in promoting the success of our organization by understanding your business objectives and the changing environment – nationally and globally – in which you compete. In this session, you will learn the business skills you need to develop to become a strong contributor to the “bottom line.” You will also review ways to leverage technology and key tools within workforce development and workplace flexibility – to more effectively manage the work, the worker and the workplace while fulfilling your business goals for the future.

Learning objectives:
· Describe the Future of Work and how it will impact HR.
· Review workforce planning techniques to address the skills gap.
· Define the key areas where development for HR leaders differs from development of other leaders.
· Describe the key approaches to professional development that will close the gap.
· Build a competency-based development plan.
